Since 1987 Francois Deroeux has been captivated by the beauty of Mexico. After racing the Baja 1000 a few times he decided to share the wonders of Baja California during the ’90s. Francois has been living full time in the central part of Mexico for more than 2 decades and he’s eager to introduce you to the breathtaking Sierra Gorda Mountain Magic – the ultimate off-road motorcycle adventure awaits!
We’ve selected the perfect motorcycle for you – the specially prepared Honda 150XR. Whether you’re an expert racer or a beginner in off-road riding, this bike excels in every way. It’s ideal combination of weight, seat height, and engine smoothness ensures a safe and enjoyable experience.
Most of our journey unfolds at elevations exceeding 2,000 meters, higher than the ski stations in the Alps. We understand that many people aren’t accustomed to such altitudes and might tire quickly. However, our carefully planned stages are relatively short in terms of kilometers. This means you’ll never become too fatigued and will always be eager to explore more the following day.
While popular You Tubers and long-distance motorcycle travelers like Charly Sinewan and Itchy Boots have recently brought attention to the Sierra Gorda, they’ve only scratched the surface. We’ll take you on a truly remarkable journey, delving deep into this stunning region.
Embark on a journey that goes beyond mere tourism; here, you’ll truly experience the heart and soul of Mexico. Get ready to forge lasting connections with welcoming locals, immerse yourself in time-honored traditions, savor delicious cuisine, and groove to the rhythm of vibrant music.

This question is always asked and the answer is always the same: The difficulty depends on your experience, physicality and spirit. This ride combines excellent dirt roads, single and two-track trails with twisty pavement sections that are not to be missed. The special off road motorcycle you will be provided with, will make your ride easy and enjoyable.

If you’ve never been on the dirt but have the desire and physical means to do so, then this is a great start. More experienced off-road riders will also gain from this training tour as we focus on the fundamentals often lost over time.

Francois Deroeux is an international off-road racer who has shined in the most demanding Enduros and Rallies. He is a GS Trophy final qualifier winner, but also excels in Trials, Supermoto, Motocross, and even Stunts, making him an all-around versatile and happy rider. Perhaps most importantly for you, he is recognized as the best instructor in Latin America, having shared safety knowledge for over two decades with +16,000 students.

We will begin with body positioning and some essential basic exercises so that we can enjoy riding from the very first day. Each day during the entire tour, we will incorporate fun exercises aimed at improving various techniques, ultimately making you a much better and safer off-road rider.

Now. For a better touring experience, we keep our groups small which frequently results in tours “sold out”.

There’s no need to worry if such a vehicle is still behind us. We return to the same hotel every night with nothing to carry, and in case of an emergency, help will quickly reach us. We have a chase motorcycle rider and most importantly, a satellite-based IDT global emergency connection.

Once you’ve considered basic factors, you can start searching for flights on a travel search engine like Google Flights, Kayak, or Skyscanner. Be sure to compare prices and amenities before booking your flight.

Here are some additional tips for finding the best flight to Queretaro:

  • There are many international locations that offer direct flights to Santiago de Querétaro (QRO)
  • You can consider flying into a nearby airport, such as Mexico City International Airport (MEX), and then taking a bus or taxi to Queretaro.
  • Sign up for email alerts from airlines and travel websites to be notified when there are sales or special offers.
  • Book your flight in advance, especially if you’re traveling during peak season.

Of course. You will remember your old skills and advance your riding quicker. You can then concentrate on those techniques that minimize stress and physical exertion, reducing fatigue, riding more smoothly and pushing the limits of your motorcycle. But, we must stress that this tour is not about speed. On the contrary; Slow speed maneuvering skills are essential. Managing all levels of terrain comfortably from rocky surfaces to loose sand is where we want to take you and even experienced riders will find this “tune up” to lead to more enjoyable riding.

In order to guarantee that each rider receives individualized instruction and guidance, our tours are capped at a maximum of eight participants. We are also happy to cater to small groups, allowing for an even more personalized experience.

This motorcycle tour is great for women riders, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. Featuring lightweight, manageable motorcycles, the tour offers an ideal platform for both novice and experienced riders to hone their skills and embark on exciting adventures. The emphasis lies on fostering enjoyment and camaraderie, leaving any competitive or overly assertive tendencies behind to create a welcoming and empowering experience for all participants.

For women’s adventure riding groups, we offer customizable tour packages. This is ideal for friend groups or motorcycle clubs seeking a collaborative experience that strengthens bonds and sharpens your adventure riding skills. Contact us to discuss tailoring a tour that perfectly suits your group’s interests and skill levels.

Off-road (dual-purpose or enduro) gear, including a good quality pair of boots (waterproof is preferable). Keep in mind that you will not carry anything on your motorcycle since we return to the same hotel each night. This information will be covered in our pre-trip communication emails along with other valuable preparation tips.
